We want Croydon to be a leading city known for its safe and friendly atmosphere; it will be seen by the rest of the UK as an independent part of London. Croydon will be a well developed cultural centre with art galleries, theatres, concert halls and outdoor performances culminating in an annual street festival; it will also have a wide range of sporting facilities for all ages of the community. Croydon will be a green city with clean streets and with many people using public transport. All these improvements will mean that Croydonians are healthier and happier and so live longer.
